Hey congrats Jody! Glad to hear that!
If you haven't already started, it's time to hit our High Road CDL Training Program hard. Learn all you possibly can before you get started and your life will be so much easier. Our program covers the logbook , cargo loading, and weight & balance which are all topics that get very little coverage in the CDL manual or in most schools. If you can learn that stuff now you'll be way ahead of the game.
Truck Weight And Cargo Loading
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A written or electronic record of a driver's duty status which must be maintained at all times. The driver records the amount of time spent driving, on-duty not driving, in the sleeper berth, or off duty. The enforcement of the Hours Of Service Rules (HOS) are based upon the entries put in a driver's logbook.
Jody, please consider doing a training diary. Millis is semi-local to me and definitely on my short list. I'd love to read about your experiences there.
I will be glad to! Like I say, I won’t start training until May, but I’ll be glad to help. I will say this, I like the idea of a smaller company.

Thanks for all the info I have received on here. I will start training with Millis Transport in May. Look forward to learning a new career!
