Okay, I decided that I'll be going with Schneider. I just told my Prime recruiter John Goodrich. I have to say, what a great guy he is. Offered me best wishes and was still very nice. I have to put my wife and kids first. They've supported and endured my odd hours, and moving job locations for promotion and my stressed out times from rivers of BS that came with my command position. I know this will have some of those elements, but I'll only be in charge of me, and hopefully the rest will be minimal problems. Thanks for all the advice, this is the best, and friendliest forum on the web.
Woo hoo! I just got my permit done. Sitting at the medical examiner's now waiting for my card so I can get my permit validated.
I need a clearance letter from my doctor, but I did fine on the rest of the physical. Now I'll have to wait for Monday to get my permit validated.
I'm still at home waiting. My pulmonologist is taking his sweet time getting my letter done. The secretary said that I might have to have a new sleep study done before he'll give me a letter. I've got to wait and see what he says. Earliest appointment is freaking may 24th! I can't believe that he's making me wait so long. I told the guy I need to start earning some money. It's a shame because I've got everything I need except that. ☹️
A month from now? That's too long. Can you get another doctor?
Whew! The pulmonologist squeezed me in the other day and I got my medical and they validated my permit. I'm ready to go, but Trainco is apparently backed up for a few weeks. Maybe someone will back out!
Nice, full steam ahead. Hopefully someone will drop out and you can take there seat. Best of luck

Rob how much do you know about the Schneider job? Is it a Dedicated Assignment or regional?
Don't worry about burning bridges. You'll handle it professionally and honestly.
Regional:
Regional Route
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
