To all the people attacking me.My question is how long can you handle being called boy and your grown. You should respect people and dude clearly had no respect for himself, the truck or me.Manning up is going home with my dignity and respect. No man should be called out his name regardless periodTreat others the way you wanna be treated.Nobody here is talking about the unprofessional communication aspect. If you know a persons name then call them by that. The 1940s are over and some people still mad about that. We're either one tribe in America or not.Im back home proud I stood for something.Whats right. No man nor woman driver new or old should be addressed like their less.If the money means more to some then fine. Not me.Too many other oppurtunites
Brandon, to be clear, my post wasn't meant as an attack. Not saying you took it that way, just want to be clear. As for other people, I don't take anything that's been posted so far as an attack, either. But maybe you feel different... Guess it all depends on the lenses you choose to view things with.
First, you're (pride, dignity, sense of self, insert adjective here) was injured beyond accepatable limits? Brother, if some harsh talk from one truck-driving trainer sent you over the edge like this, well... Perhaps this isn't really the ideal career for you.
Second, nobody can tell you what the right or wrong thing to do is from that situation - you have to live with the choices you do or don't make, so if that's you're idea of manning up or taking a stand or whatever, and it was what you needed to do, well... Sure!
But in my own personal opinion, Manning up is going home with my dignity and respect just equals qutting to me. Personally, there ain't no way in hell I'm letting ANYONE just talk me out of a career I'm continually attemptiing to pour so much into. Give me that dude and he can call me anything he wants for the next month. Long as we drive safe, there's gonna be something I can learn along the way (at the very least, how to manage 30 days with the world's most difficult person.)
It sounds to me like there were some very raw nerves this trainer touched (and in all honesty, it sounds like you gave him the very ammo he was shooting at you.) Why did you give him the satisfaction of getting to you? After all the time and money that was invested in this, why did you let him chase you off so easily? Becasue that's the bottom line here: You quit. You, "Im back home proud I stood for something.Whats right." Yup, you stood for qutting just as soon as things got tough. It's not about money and it's not about taking a bunch of sh*t from someone - but it IS all about how YOU react to it. I study stoic philosophy daily, and it's something I recommend that you might want to look into, as well.
Bottom line for me, you walked away when it got tough. Call it anything you like, standing up, taking a stand, being noble, whatever. History is overflowing with people of many races, genders, and tribes who made history because they didn't cut and run as soon as things got tough, rather they faced overwhelming odds, marched through hell, or at least endured things far worse than being called names.
If this seems like an attack, I promise you that it is not. (That action would unmistakable coming from me.) I hope that, rather, you view this post critically and constructively. And I hope you take away something you've learned from your time with that trainer besides animosity. Life is too short, brother. Relax, regroup, and reset.

Thank you, Rain! Loved your article I just read earlier. Hope many, many people see the message in there!
Scheduled to head over to CRST on May 7th. But if they won't have me for some reason beyond my control, I'll surely apply to Prime!
Giving it all I got, but seems the stringent paper-trail requirements of some companies is more than I can satisfy at this point in time. Guess I should have planned for this career a few years ago amidst the middle of a different one, lol. Started a thread on here about that, hoping someone can give some advice on that angle because history seems to be the one thing I have no current control over.

Jeremy C.:
From what I am seein on your posts here, I know for a fact that when you graduate from NADTA and need a Lead Driver so you could do your 28 days, I would be HONORED to train ya. Just let me know when you graduate and If its right around the time I need another student then, I will certainly request ya to come on board my truck.

Wow! Thank you! And now I'm the one that feels honored...
After reading that little bit you wrote on your profile, I just wanted to meet you in person. There's quite a bit there that I can relate to and quite a bit we could talk about. So, let me just say that makes your offer even more awesome. Thank you!
NOT the best career choice if you have issues with rude large people. GO ASTROS!!

Icekold, that is very typical behavior of these guys. They "love everybody" but they go all over the place on the internet to spread their misinformation and slander. They come into this industry completely unprepared, then once they're cast aside they are convinced they have some sort of righteous vendetta that they need to carry out to vindicate themselves.
