Hello guys. I have waited for 2 years to apply for a CDL class A. Before the weeks that I was actually able to apply. I got a speeding ticket near my house. I live near a village near huntington. WV. It was dark road along side a hill at 10 Pm. Cop said i was 55 but he said he will reduce ticket that it will be 49mph @ 45mph limit.

When I went to sherif office they say there will not be any point on my licence and I still can get cdl. I really wanted to apply for a trucking school. Please help me, will prime inc. Accept this over speeding. I hvnt formally applied to that company. And certainly I can not hide this fact. This was my first ticket since I got my licence 25 months ago.

And when I was with Lerner permit, I drove pass a cop who had already pulled over someone alongside the road. But he only gave me warning ticket.

Please advise me. Please. Thank you.

Welcome

I am a little confused? Do you have a CDL permit? Did you get a ticket on your regular divers license? From what I have been reading, a minor speeding ticket less than 15mph over the posted mph limit, will be ok, as long as you are up front with the company on your application.

I think reading your post was a bit confusing for me, as you seem to have bounced around a little.

Best of luck.

That shouldn't be an issue, but they will almost certainly require proof that it has been paid before they'll take you for training so make sure you take care of it asap

no sir, i havnt yet applied for CDL. But i m going to apply in next week. Just preparing for cdl permit exam. This ticket was on my regular license. At The police station that woman said she wont report this, because this is 49 at 45mph limit. I saw on her desk there were at 100 other tickets in that bunch. I m afraid, when i will report this to cpmany what will they say. Will they hire me ??

Im at Prime and they are much more strict than other companies. Just tell the truth and admit it.

if it is only one ticket it isnt so bad.

good luck. all you can do is try

call and ask for recruiter angela gomez. shes cool and knowledgable. once you apply you will be assigned a recruiter, so call first. i say this just cause ive spoken to her myself.
