Well you are getting great runs. I'm about to go to sleep. I'm Fort Worth tonight, first stop is in Georgia at 08:00 on Saturday. Hope you get back to Joplin soon. I'll be home starting 7-13 for a few days.

Cirrently at a Mom & Pop truck stop in Umatilla, OR on our way to Coppell. Got out of WA and of course, had the obligatory traffic stoppage due to an accident near North Bend, WA. Will be goining through Wyoming, Colorado. Oklahoma on our way to Texas. Missed Cali ...... shucks. dancing.gif The planners must think our truck can levitate and fly, because they gave us until 0000 on 7/2 for delivery. uhhh.....sure, I can drive 710 miles each day to make it on time. Needless to say the time was changed. In my short time on the truck, I have noticed that operations has seemed to have issues with wrong delivery dates or 'forgetting' to schedule delivery times. We almost got stuck this morning having to wait 9 hours to deliver due to some issues on the company side. Luckily, our consigned got us in when we got there at the time company had on our load.

I bet you can get more time on that load if you ask.

Are you dropping at a customer in Dallas or our terminal in Wilmer, just outside of Dallas. And yes, it is a beautiful country.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

We were planned to deliver to a customer in Coppell, TX, but that changed to dripping at the Dallas (Wilmer) terminal.

Had another real early am run so as to get through Salt Lake City, etc. at night. It's a barren land in Utah and New Mexico. Tomorrow, I'll easilly be over the minimum miles required with my finisher and then some. Hopefully, we won't get stuck in the D-FW area over the 4th. These past 18 days have seemed to zoom by quickly and feel like forever at the same time.
