Weed and a CDL do not go together. Despite state laws it is still illegal under federal law. No matter what. You would have to check with your issuing state on their requirements to keep your CDL valid. Alot of states keep it active as long as you have a current med card. Each state has their own specific rules on that.

Does it? When I took my physical I was told it's only to screen for sugars in blood (diabetes)

Yeah that's not a drug test.
Weed doesn't affect your CDL. What it affects is your ability to get a job that requires a CDL. If you're not concerned about getting a job then you are free to make your own decision. Consequences will be whatever they are, but technically it is not going to affect your license itself.

One more thing on this topic. It's very doubtful you'll be able to get another class A driving job under your circumstances. There will be very few companies willing to hire you just because you have a CDL. They will want verifiable recent experience, which you will not have. So, you will have to get serious about a commercial driving job or about smoking weed. It's your choice.

I've never had to take a drug test for my med card, even when my company was paying for it.... there was a 1 year period I did get tested every time I got pulled into a terminal (5 times in a 1 year period). but thats a different topic....

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Could it be a state thing? NJ told.me i would have to get the drug test with the DOT....but then i went to Prime and every physical came another drug test.
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
I had to do a drug test with my med card, but I am going to a private school and we had to pass a drug test to be admitted. It was just killing 2 birds with one stone. They put a test strip in it and it showed I had blood in my urine. Like it wasn’t noticble to the naked eye but detectable. Kinda concerned me.
Weed, drugs and alcohol do not go with a Cdl. Real medical Marijuana does not get one high. I don't know how it would show on a drug test. With that said, if weed and being high is more important to you than a stable career in anything, then go smoke a bowl.
