I wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy weekend!

I'm officially going off the grid for about 48 hours. God willing and the creek don't rise, my next post wil be from the CRST training center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Driving over there tomorrow with my wife, spending the night at a hotel, and checking in for training on Sunday evening. If all goes well, I will start a training diary on Sunday night. My deepest gratitude to all of you!

Ohhhhh, and since it's Star Wars day...

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!!!

I'll be in Cedar Rapids probably on Monday to get my truck serviced. I'll wave to you from across the street or if our schedules match up, maybe my current student and I could meet up with you for dinner.

Good luck and best wishes over at CRST. They do have an excellent school. Avoid the terminal rats!

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Thanks much everyone for the support!

Let the adventure begin - the training diary already has begun, lol. Short and bleak for the moment, but hey I just got here.

Susan, I don't know the schedule here for certain, yet. First orientation is about 2 hours from now. But if there's nothing scheduled for tomorrow afternoon or evening, it would be awesome to meet you and your current trainee! smile.gif

That's okay I am sure it will grow soon. Can't wait to read it and best of luck to you.

Thanks, brother! And best of luck to you! Time for us newbies to carry forth the wisdom (errr, truth) gleaned from the diesel elders here at TT. So glad I found this site! Safe travels, Schmidtrock!
