Ok i will give that a shot after work. Im not to knowledgeable on all these rules and laws and stuff. Only the ones that are in my everyday day to day life
My guess is you have two problems:
1) that ticket is more than 15mph over the speeding limit which is reckless driving. it does not matter if you never had a ticket before. that one instance showed just how poor your judgement could be and even once in trucking can be deadly. Even if you get things expunged from records such as DUI , the trucking companies still find it. they pay a lot of money to find these things. It might actually say on your record "ticket X mph over limit reduced/dropped" or such.
2) Despite the fact you hold a Class A CDL , it was never used for that purpose The 160 hour training certificate you had after graduating from school was issued so.long ago, most companies will not accept it. Therefore a "refresher course" would not be enough. You would be requiring full training. To my knowledge the term "refresher" is what they give to experienced drivers who have been off the road for awhile. You however never gained any experience. Therefore it is like starting over.
please people correct me if im wrong.
Dustin, i would apply everywhere with a company sponsored training program and see what happens.
good luck
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
Driving Under the Influence
Thanks for the reply rainy. But i think im just going to wait till 2020 january and then like you said start over with a company sponsored program. I already found two. Problem solved thanks for the replys.
Turns out that reckless driving thing is too big of a deal and no company wants nothing to do with me till 3 years of clean driving

You should be able to go to your local DMV , and for about 10 bucks get a copy of your driving record. Just to be on the safe side. I am waiting on a prehire letter, and for some reason, NH does not allow companies to pull a DMV record without the person notarized signature, so CRST can't do it on my behalf.
Best of Luck

What Exactly Is A Pre-Hire Letter?
Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.
We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
A Pre-Hire Letter Is Not A Guarantee Of Employment
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
