You will be required to take general knowledge, combination vehicles, and airbrakes to obtain a CLASS A Permit. Use the High Road CDL Training Program If you haven't already. It's also a good idea to get all/most endorsements at the same time.

Sorry I missed a part. It's broken into 3 different tests but you must pass 1 to advance, atleast when i did it. General knowledge in Iowa was 50 questions, combination vehicles and airbrakes were each 20 questions. You must get 80% on each test to pass.

I’m getting ready to take my cdl permit test in Illinois, before I start driving school with Truck company. I was wondering if it was 1 test or three separate test. And if there is anything else I should study before I take the test.
