Don't ever buy a RandMcNally TND 740 GPS. They are the biggest pieces of 💩 I have ever used. This pic is why:
It crapped out on me at the worst possible time today and now I am left flyin blind. Oh well. Garmin here I come.
Ok now I finally got the pic to upload.
So did it lock up permanently or need a restart or what?
My 730 freezes up once in awhile, usually when I ask it to do too much at once. Not quite like that, but similar. All I have to do is unplug it and let the battery completely drain. Then plug it back in and all is well.
I still don't own a truck GPS. Problem solved. My Atlas NEVER locks up on me.

That screen in the pic it was stuck on every time I clicked on anything having to do with accessing its main function the GPS itself. I tried runnin the GPS repair software and tried power cyclin the device multiple times however to no avail. I declared it dead and now I am between the 540 rand and the 580 garmin. Which should I get? I need to do this by later today because now I am without a GPS until I can purchase another one. The 740 lasted almost 10 months without issue.

Amen there. Maybe I just got a lemon?
Also before I go any further, Disclaimer: I only use the GPS as a tool to help me with trip planning and to navigate roads off of the main highways to our customers. For the main highways I use my atlas.
Sorry if I came off as nuts earlier, I am just frustrated at the situation.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
