I chose to begin my career with Werner Enterprises.
Congratulations Key City.. now for the hard part lol... Company Training. Just remember that it's all one big long interview.

Congratulations, Key City! I am very happy for you.
Best Regards, Colin K.
Congratulations! Good luck.
Well, I made it through orientation and got my employee ID badge at Werner. I’m now officially an employee. I’m at the hotel awaiting a trainer. I’ll make a diary once I hit the road. I’ll make sure to explain the orientation process for people who are interested driving for this company.
After what has felt like forever, I finally tested out and obtained my Class A CDL. I am going to the DMV tomorrow morning to add Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. I will be attending an orientation next Wednesday in Joliet, Illinois.
Thank you to everyone on this forum for all the advice they gave given me during this process. This site and it’s wealth of knowledge has helped me immensely!
Werner is a good choice.
And Joliet is a brand new terminal JD
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
