Awesome. This verified to me that I'm not just plain crazy. I never thought I would be offered a brand new truck and I certainly never thought I would reject one either.

I definitely took this as a compliment of a job well done. The fact that they were willing to hand me the keys to a brand new truck definitely brightened my week, it's the thought that counts.

I really think that in just 22,000 miles, this guy managed to wreck the interior of this new truck. It's pretty sad how some truckers live.

To all the new drivers out there. Take this as a lesson. If you do a good job you will eventually be rewarded big time. I never complained about my 260k mile truck because in my opinion - it's still new. It runs like a clock. Why get another truck that might have some faults in it? Don't ever be a complainer. Just do your job safely every single day and do your best to never miss appointments. Speak to everyone with kindness and respect, it doesn't matter if its your Driver manager or that guy in the repair shop or the folks in the fuel department. Practice kindness! Sooner or later, someone will notice your hard work.

Driver Manager:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
