You've got a great attitude Colin - keep it up!
Don't let your backing trouble you too much. It takes time to get proficient at backing. Everyone stresses over being proficient at it, but your current focus needs to be on doing it safely. It doesn't matter at this point how ugly it looks while you're backing, what matters is that you can do it without making contact with the things around you - the other trucks, poles, concrete barriers, etc. You've got the rest of your career to work on making it look good. For now, just focus on not hitting anything.
It's great to hear from you, and I'm really glad to hear things are going well.
Haha! You're actually out here doing this! That's awesome!
Thank you, Old School. It's hard work, but I'm enjoying it. I will confess to looking forward to some down time while trainer gets home time for the 4th though. I'll update more at that time.
Best Regards Colin
Colin, I am glad to see things are going better for you.

Just time for a quick update. I will be able to update my diary over July 2nd, 3rd and 4th when my trainer has home time.
I was fortunate to get an excellent trainer. He knows his stuff, is patient and is not throwing me into everything all at once.
I've been doing lots of driving and am just coming off my first ever reset. Since last Friday, we've gone from Colton, CA to Grandview, WA and back. Today we leave for Modesto, CA and then Portland, OR.
I'm really enjoying this so far. We will have some down time in Modesto and will work on my backing skills. I know I need work on them but I'm not afraid of it anymore.
Stay safe out there, everybody! Colin K.
