Wonder what happened to Jeramy.
I think he's working his tail off, and is too exhausted at the end of the day to give us a report. He's trucking!
Maverick posts their “graduates” on their Facebook page. I have trued to keep an eye out for him (someone named Jeremy and a Last name starting with an H) but haven’t seen anyone like that. Problem is, Jeremy could be his middle name or something amd I may have missed him. I will keep an eye out. I am anxious to hear from him. On another note, Maverick is starting their own CDL training program and I am still waiting to go to either Ark U or their new training program.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
Hey, Jason R., I am currently on a trainers truck with Maverick. Do you have a specific question you need to be answered? I did not go to Mavericks CDL school so if the question is about that I can't answer. I can tell you the majority of my orientation class was not from Mavericks CDL school.

I was wondering do they tell you while you're with the Dr if you passed the physical. When did you receive your drug test results? I heard it can go back years.

Hi, Amanda, welcome to Trucking Truth. To answer your question, at your physical, if you pass you get your DOT form signed by the Dr. right there.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
