I went to the DPS office to take the 2 tests required to get my Class A permit, of course dreading section 14 and yes I got questions on farm equipment, I passed both! I aced combination vehicles and had to hold myself from jumping out of my seat on the 2 last questions because I knew I nailed it. As for the section 14, I never want to see any part of it for awhile, needless to say I didn't ace that. Now to study and brush up on other parts so I can get all my written test done. Thank You for this site and all the advice.

Combination Vehicle:

A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.

Congratulations! Man am I sorry if I gave you some bad information. It wasn't that long ago when I took the Texas exams, but I guess just like everything else in trucking it's going to change sooner than later.

You got through it though, and we couldn't be happier for you! Keep up the good work.

Thank You Everyone! Old School, you didn't give me bad advice because I still read it, over and over again, now it is time to put that manual away and just study on here. It's more interesting on this site. I feel better getting that out of the way, I was nervous, but confident, if that makes any sense. Well, going to play some angry birds tonight and hit the books tomorrow. smile.gif
