At Prime, once you get your CDL they put you on the payroll immediately. If you have a trainer lined up that means a week later you'll get your first paycheck.
So... it kind of depends on how quickly you develop your skills during that PSD stage of training. For some, it's a couple of weeks. I'd say you should have a plan or a strategy in place to allow yourself four to five weeks with no paycheck. Remember those two hundred dollar advances, though handy and helpful, will also begin to be deducted from your first paychecks. That will reduce the amount of actual "take home" pay for a good while.

Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.

If i were to accept them, do they take say 200 out of each check or is it a percentage etc?

I think it's more like fifty dollars per week. Somebody from Prime will see this soon and give you a more specific answer, but I think I'm fairly accurate in what I'm telling you.
OS is very close. At the earliest, it'll be 3 weeks(+/- a day or two) from the day you arrive at orientation to the day you receive your first check. It really comes down to how long your PSD phase takes. I was lucky enough to blast through PSD quickly, so I got my first check 24 days after arriving at Prime. I opted not to take the $200 advances. However, Prime will deduct $25 per week for any advances you accept. They really try to make it easy on ya, but I'd still suggest you plan well ahead like OS said. Save up some dough if you can to help float you through.

For me it was 1 week for orientation and then 2 more weeks for PSD without a check. By the 4th week I had passed my CDL exam and was officially on the payroll.
Also keep in mind that those $200 advances do not come in the form of a check. They are loaded onto your comdata fuel card. You can make withdrawals from the comdata account from an ATM or load the money onto a comcheck to deposit. As mentioned earlier $25 a paycheck was deducted until I had paid back those advances.
Also it took payroll a bit to get my direct deposit going so my first actual paycheck was also loaded onto the comdata card. Direct deposit was working by the second week.
Id plan for a bit longer than 3 weeks tho. Some students get a trainer right away, while others end up waiting a while. Some students catch on quick and are ready to test after 2 weeks of PSD, and others may have a harder time and could take weeks longer.

Jim Palmer/Wil-Trans mirrors Prime's way of training and pay. Started July 30th, received my CDL on Aug 28th and my first pay will be Sept 7th. To get the $200 advance you have to be in a truck w/ trainer to get it. Prime calls is PSD , Jim Palmer/ Wil-Trans calls it D-Seat. Once you head out on C-Seat (after getting your CDL) you'll start receiving pay.

Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.
Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.
