well, we have it narrowed down to two schools, and my husband just left to go talk to the closest one, if he does not like this school, the next one is out of state which means he will be gone from home for about 3 weeks, which seems like a very small price to pay for something that could turn our ugly situation into a positive...so iam keeping my fingers crossed, will let you all know the result once i know...wanted to say thanks again for all of the advice and information that people on here have given us....what a difference kind people can make:)

Well, not much was accomplished, they basically told him to go home and fill out the app online, which is fine but seems kind of strange that you cannot go directly to the school and talk to someone??? I used to run a bartending school, and we were always right there to sign people up! but anyhow we filled out the app online and submitted it, now we just have to sit and wait for them to contact us! will keep you all posted :)

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.
