Jim Palmer and Wil-Trans are owned by the same family. Where are you in NY. That could make a difference. Usually if you're in a company's hiring area they can get you home.
Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.
Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.
First hand knowledge here. Doesn't matter if you go with Jim Palmer or Wil-Trans you'll be pulling Prime Inc trailers. Parent company is Wilson Logistics. As far as home time, there is a lot of freight moving around up there. My suggestion would be call and talk to a Jim Palmer recruiter in Missoula not Springfield.

I'm thinking about going with Jim Palmer but since they're mainly toward the west I want to know if it would be hard for them to get me home. Thanks
