I like it, it’s like my own little clubhouse. WiFi hotspot, tv, gaming console, climate controlled, comfy bed, microwave, fridge. My 34’s are very relaxing.

Dawn was mentioned a couple of times...and it must be said.. Dawn is great for scrubbing floors cause it gets the grease and also a few drops in the wiper fluid helps.

Wiper fluid? Please explain...does Dawn help clear the bug splatter? Regular Wiper fluid just makes for a bad windshield.

Yes please explain this dawn in the wiper fluid thing. I'm a noob and I never knew a windshield could possibly collect this many bugs in such a short amount of time. It's not as bad in the day but I like driving at night when possible and must have a clean windshield. I've stopped and gone through the fuel lines when I didn't need fuel just for a windshield cleaning.

Lol! Ahhhh, its so funny to get all the responses that resonate. When I talk with non-truckers or non-trucking-enthusiasts, its like "You're gonna clean your plates in the shower!" in a bad way. Whereas here, its like, "You're gonna clean your plates in the shower!" in a . . . funky-in-a-good-way sense.

I'm 33, shoutout to andhe78. . .

If/when I choose to enter this industry as a worker (still a dreamer too, but. . . worker), I definitely will not have the resume of a "stereotypical" trucker. Aaaaand, at least here, I have yet to online-meet one, single, stereotypical, trucker. And the vlogs of people entering then quitting, you know, they aren't the stereotypes either. The freedom of trucking is almost, and essentially, the freedom to be a trucker. To sign up for all the BS of the lifestyle because you there is something pulling you.

"Living in a cab is an adventure," not some sort of shameful horrible thing that only shameful horrible people find fun/comfortable!

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I usually buy the Rainex or the Bug Scrubber wiper fluid, even if i buy them at walmart Prime will reimburse me.

(If you drive for Prime and dont know this, there is a "Cash Fuel Only PO Request" macro. scroll down and input thw price in the "additives" line. Scan.it with your trip to get the money back in your pay )

But yeah a few drops.....not ten or anything, but a few...will reduce your squashed bug issues. im not sure if it makes the glass slick or just chips the corspes away. an owner op told me about it. but....dawn really cleans the floor well so.i use the platinum mega power type of brand.

Dawn seems to be good for just about everything.

Here's one for the ladies. My wife spilled red wine on a brand new top she loved. Thought it was ruined. It was white with multi colored stripes.

Next day, I mixed 2 parts dawn to one part peroxide, let it soak in that for 45 minutes, rinsed with hot water and it was like new, and didn't bleach the colors.

I hate stale air and love candles for the scent. i went to yankee candle in the mall and got a plug in wax warmer. There is one called "clean linen" that gives a nice freshly cleaned scent. yankee candle is more expensive than walmart brands, but the scent is much stronger and lasts longer.

guys might shrug thinking something like that is "girlie" but every guy mechanic who comes on the truck compliments me on it. They are even more surprised to see i have a cat...no cat odor.

I also put 1-2 drops of dawn in a gallon of windshield wiper fluid and recap it, shake it up to mix it, and then pour it into the reservoir. It very much helps reduce the stuck on bug guts. I tried the green bug remover fluid, but didn't get great results with that. I do put a coat of rainx on the windshield on occasion.. must be super clean and dry first. Yes I sometimes use it for floors or for scrubbing the doors, dash, etc. And when needed, to clean the inner pot on my Aroma 3 in 1 cooker. I typically use paper and plastic to eat with, however I do keep a set of pyrex bowls with plastic lids, a couple kitchen knives, cutting board, etc, because I do cook from scratch in my truck. Yes I wash those with warm/hot water and a bit of dawn.

I have company provided satellite radio. Love it. I have my phone for most things. I watch movies on my laptop. I have Straight Talk for phone service with unlimited data and use my phone as a hot spot. No time for TV so I don't have one. I have a microwave, small fridge and George Forman grill for cooking. I clean the grill plates and utensils in the sink in the shower room. I carry a small bottle of Dawn in my shower bag. I keep all bottles of liquid in zip lock bags. My truck has curtains that wrap around the inside of the windshield. When closed, I'm in my apartment. When open, I'm in my office. My truck is equipped with an inverter for 110 power.
