I googled your request, and found no one who knows. One suggested that it might be either a hydraulic line or maybe they didn't have a blue hose and substituted it for the blue line. I told him it was in conjunction with the regular three, they he said no clue. So I don't know what it could be used for.
Was it a usual big rig hauling a box truck or was it a specialized truck?
I thought finally a question in my wheel house, but I have no idea we do not have them and I have never seen one. I am guessing it is specialized for their application my guess is hydraulic related as stated above.

Possibly a hydraulic line for a live floor motor?

Possibly, I've seen dump trucks pulling doubles maybe they use it.
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

Rolling along in traffic I saw a tractor & trailer pulling a dolly for connecting a 2nd trailer. On it I saw the usual red, blue, and green lines for air & electrical, PLUS, a yellow line... what’s the yellow one?
