To all of our moderators,

I want to create a page for each of you so people know where they are getting their advice from. Right now our "about us" page just has my information on it. I want to create a page liks this for each of you:

About Brett

Would you guys and gals be willing to answer these questions? I'll just create a page for each of you with these questions as the headings:

  • What state do you live in now and what states have you lived in over the years?
  • What careers did you have before trucking?
  • What made you want to start a career in trucking
  • How long you've been trucking? (include month and year you started training)
  • What do you love most about trucking?
  • What is the most difficult aspect of trucking for you?
  • What aspects of trucking do you think are the most difficult for new drivers to handle?
  • What are one or two pieces of advice you would give to new drivers getting ready to start their training?
  • Optional: Including any links to anything you have around the Web - facebook, twitter, your own website, etc.

Some of those are super short and quick, others could use a couple of paragraphs if you would be so kind.

I really want to feature you guys more prominently and to be honest I've been meaning to do this for a long time. I should have done it long ago, and I'm sorry I didn't, but now we'll get this right.

You can either attach your questions and answers here, or email them to me at brett@truckingtruth.com and I'll post them on your page.

Thanks!

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

This is a great idea, Brett. Yeah, "Sign me up!"

An additional section on our pages could be about our "secrets to success" that really helped us make it. This should be more open than the topic about advice that you list here.

Absolutely! Go for it. Anything you guys and gals want on your pages I'll be happy to put it up. The more the better, in fact.

You bet.

Also, I'd like to be able to use an actual picture of each of you. I think most of you are using a picture of yourself as your avatar, so I can use that unless you have a different one you'd like me to use. If you have a certain picture you'd like me to use just attach it here or email it to me, either way is fine.

Great idea Brett! You always display true professionalism and by being transparent with the moderators information and backgrounds you display to anyone reading these forums that they are real people with real experiences and information for anyone especially the "newbies". These are the things that make Trucking Truth the best forum on the web.
