Congratulations, and best of luck to ya!
Hope you can land that local job, but if you don't you can always come back and try it again after about six months. TMC is a great outfit and you would learn a lot by working for them.
Yeah best of luck to ya! Let us know how the training goes.
Man, I'm outside of Buffalo, NY and we're getting temps in the minus single digits but not -20 because we live East of Lake Erie so that moderates the temps a bit. That's the good side. The downside is snow. I've literally had about 6+ feet of snow already this year and January has just begun. Brutal.
The best of luck to ya.

I'm getting ready to start driving on Tuesday. I chose to do a private school out of Minnesota across the border from my house. I'll be starting Century College in Afton, MN on Tuesday. Expected temperatures will be around -20F. I'll be bundled up for sure.
I have had quite the journey to get to this point after deciding in June this was what I wanted to do. I looked at company sponsored school and private schools. I decided to do the private route as I wanted try and get a local job. But, if I don't get that I have my eye on TMC as I'm used to flat bed work with my previous employer. My school will be 180 hours of contact, so that means I will be driving quite a bit. They have a few 48s, 53s, and a flatbed and they're 10spd trucks.
I'm excited for this journey to begin, I've been waiting and saving since June 2012. I'll be able to do a job I want to do and something I'm used to. Driving is definitely in my blood.
