Thanks Susan, Big T and Joanne.

I have been thinking of the winter driving and I feel that the sooner I start the better. I'll give Jackie a call on Monday to set it up.

If it we're me, I'd start as soon as possible. Get winter experience while you have the luxury of a trainer with you!

I agree. Better to drive in winter with a trainer than alone.

I'm hoping to also start my orientation in December. At first, I thought, ugh, learning to drive in winter! And then I thought, that would be perfect! I'd rather be learning to drive in the winter when I'm with a trainer!!

My wife was scared to death that I was going to learn to drive in winter. I said, would you rather I learned in winter, or drive in winter without a clue. That was the end of that discussion. She realized it was better to learn with a teacher and trainer than figure it out on my own.

Well it's Saturday and Monday is still two days away. I guess I'm just chomping at the bit to get started. When I was going to college before I didn't have the time to be bored, but waiting to get started in again, but I have been studying the pre-trip a lot so I feel that I will be in better shape than those that don't.

Winter driving doesn't scare me as much as going to box trucks from tankers though (and yes I know it's not a box). The tanker I drove was 51' long and another two feet won't make that much difference as far as length goes, but height and width will. Anyway I'm getting off the topic here.

Winter driving here I come!
