Alright. So here it goes. They gave me a rental car to get from Lafayette La, to Gardendale Alabama. The hotel is nice. But you have to share a room. The shuttle picks you up at 0630. They provide a nice lunch and dinner. My first day so far has consisted of a rather in depth agility test. Drug test and what not. And then I had to do a road test. One thing I did not know, was that they are not a majority automatic company as I was told. And I was very rusty on my 10 speed skills. My backing was good to go. ( guess I didn’t forget it all). I will update as I go.

I'm interested to hear about your journey as I'm in Ohio and Boyd Bros is big in Cincinnati.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
