The post is about does Junior Honduras have a negative reputation within prime?

Luke what exactly are we missing here?

You asked for “insight”, which you got plenty of. Since a Prime instructor stared very clearly NOT to use Jrs’ PTI thats all you need to know, and in an indirect way, answers your question about reputation.

Lots of energy on something that to all of us seems insignificant.

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

The only insight It showed me is that he's a regular dude who makes vlogs and not everyone knows about him. this entire post, you are correct, is how do I put it, not important. I figured that was obvious from the get go, but considering it is about a very specific topic, I figured Id ask it here. Im not worried about what the instructor said because I personally do not use junior honduras videos for review. but at the same time, knowing of him, i merely had a minor curiosity on the grander scale of things. In other words I was pondering things on the hidden social interaction levels that yes, they arent important, and yes, most people clearly dont think about them. In a round a bout way that has given me the insight I was asking about. case closed.

It could have to do with students telling their trainers "but X said to do it this way". or the student THOUGHT the person in the video pointed to something and now the obnoxious student is telling their trainer what is and isnt right. He is not the only one mentioned in orientation. Prime has official videos for various training in which they know what is done and done correctly.

i could also see students failing and saying "its primes fault i failed pretrip...X is a trainer and i followed him".

Also, the terminology has changed over the years and order of brake test. if the videos arent updated, you could fail. Most videos dont include "the air and electrical lines are not dragging on the catwalk"

mentioning specific people is kind of inflammatory. all it does is start arguments between those who like them and those who cant stand them. i get annoyed with some of the "yo yo yo! peoplz" fake entertainment stuff some put on but others think its cool.

also consider this.... most truckers dont need to watch videos about trucking. im living this life so watching a video is a waste of my time. those videos are for newbies or those considering entering the field. and hopefully for that vlogger to make referral money.

i give my phone number out to tons of students and tell them to call me 24/7 if they have issues or need help once solo. i wonder how many of them would answer the phone at 2am for a newbie they dont even know.

and i can personally say that some of those vloggers are absolutely exaggerating. i helped one at a customer who messed up their truck. the next video totally omitted everything i did and said, not knowing this person was a vlogger. a friend sent me the link saying "didnt you jist help someone last night who hit something and messed up their truck?" funny, the person came across like everything and everyone else was at fault and this person was all alone and nervous.
