Finally hounded the school administrator enough to get my appointment set for January 14th. So I will be returning to school on the 3rd to start driving practice.

IF I can stay sane until then. Doing nothing is boring.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Seems strange the way they do it by you, I went to private school in Illinois and at the end of the 4 weeks, 2 testers from the DMV show up and test us on the school property, and we drove the DMV approved course.

This is NY, we are definitely different than the rest of the country. PA, as well as many other states, allow 3rd party testers. NY only has a handful of testers available, and they are extremely overworked. Someone I won't mention, because this is a public forum, said they think they are also told to fail a certain percentage just to collect the retest fees, as they have failed people for stuff that has nothing to do with the law as written. For example, they didn't plow the testing area in the snow, and when the driver lost traction, failed them

Good for you Grumpy. “Practice”, a good thing.

Remember all you need to do is pass. Don’t worry about perfection, it adds unnecessary pressure.

Best of luck.

Breathe and say everything you are doing or seeing. read every sign aloud, mention every car about to jump out at you, mention cars behind you so they know you are checking you mirror... "looking both ways at railroad after slowing" "checking mirror before changing lanes" i even read the $1000 litter fine sign lol
