Nate, just about any of the Paid CDL Training Programs take people from your area. They will put you on a bus, pay for your way to their training facility, and then house you and feed you while you are there. Follow that link and contact them. I think you will find that many of them will be willing to work with you.
People often misunderstand how this hiring business works in trucking. You don't need to live near the company you work for. You just need to reside in their "hiring area." I have never even lived in the same state as my employer, in fact I am now working for Knight Transportation - they are headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, I live in East Texas. If a company is hauling freight in your area, they are more than likely hiring in that same area.

Schneider has a big terminal right across the street from Roehl. Why limit yourself to only a handful of companies, as OS offered?
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Swift also has a terminal not far from roehls terminal off of Cline ave by the Gary airport. I to live in northwest indiana but really that has very little to do with where you work in this business. You can live in indiana and work for a company in California just as easy.

The company I hope to end up at has one terminal in WI, and I'm in Buffalo. Use the link, apply to them all, then select from the ones that say yes.
