Agreed, can you talk about it yet?

Not really. We have some visitors at the yard this week, so if you keep your ear to the ground you will definitely hear something.

Here is a hint

Passed my DOT physical, though still a one year card because my blood pressure is a little high and I’m on meds for it

I don’t expect any surprises on the drug test, so now it should just be the skills portion. I hope they understand the school didn’t really teach me anything I really need to know.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Patrick,

I was stuck in a top bunk last night. A guy just told me he cleared out of his bunk and I raced to snag it.

That ladder sucks!

Think; “Bison Trucking Company”.

Actually they are called Bison Transportation. One of the largest trucking companies in Canada. The details of what is exactly happening is fairly vague. It is very early in whatever is happening. Our employee letter was your basic corporate info to reduce nervousness. Taking about investment, increase in growth, standing by founding principles, nothing is going to change kinda thing. However, rumors are rampant.

All I know is Bison is hungry to increase its footprint in the U.S. they bought Britton Transport around 7 years ago. Britton is a flatbed and reefer company. From what I gathered when they bought Britton, it was left intact. Management on down. The former owner still ran his company until he was ready to step down.

Like I said, whatever happens is still very early in the process. Bison is visiting to determine if they want to invest or not. Due diligence and all.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

Why do you think I refuse to stay in the bunkhouse. I’m fairly sure a jail is missing their bunk beds, lol. I did mention that the accommodations were Spartan in my “training diary”. Maybe I should of said austere?

I know if you don’t mind waiting when your truck is being worked on as long as the mechanics reach a stopping point to where the truck can be ran and moved outside, they will move it outside around midnight to let you sleep in it, then come kick you out to finish working on it around 7am.
