Hopefully they will give ya G-Town or Errol as a mentor. Then you will truly know you are being trained or in your case retrained by the best. 😀
I ran surge out of G Towns Walmart DC in Pottsville, PA 2 years ago with 6 months under my belt. Those drivers have one of the most difficult assignments I ever experienced. I made it out intact, all of the fenders and hardware still on the truck, and headed back west. It was a great learning experience.........but I wouldn't want to do it again! I'm sure they gave me the "easy" runs too!
My hat is off to that crew. It was brutal on this rookie driver.
Thanks, I think (?). Do you wear a hat?
Remember your side excursion on PA-901 & 183? And pulling into the LV Service plaza with a couple of minutes remaining on your 14 hour clock? Just another day... Some fun, eh? We had some entertaining phone conversations, that’s for sure!
I gaurantee you if you end up surge in Purgatory Pa again (I can put-in a request on your behalf)...it will be a whole lot easier this time around.
Many happy trial to you Tractor.
My feeling is training is always a great idea with any new company if nothing else but to become familiar with their procedures and how to get paid correctly.
I'm sure you'll love it at Swift.

Haha, that's where I am tonight. You definitely don't want to take a wrong turn here. That is unless you want to be driving a convertible. That low bridge is not very forgiving - it has opened up the tops of a few tractors and ended a few budding careers. It's got the scars to prove it never backs down from a challenger.
G town, Thanks for the offer to bring me back to that nightmare. I think I'd rather be in Rainy's dungeon.🤣
Thanks Doug.
Thanks Susan. Actually I am a re-hire at Swift, just been out of a truck for almost 2 years. Looking forward to knocking off some rust for a couple of weeks.

It sounds to me like he should be shown the door and told not to let it hit him in the a$$ on the way out!
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
