The great thing about that job is you get to go through the Blue Beacon and get your Weiner washed!

I read that and my wife asked what I was laughing at. Thanks.

I saw that too and my first reaction was, that would be so much fun driving a weinermobile around for a year! No CDL required and they prefer a bachelor's in marketing or a related field.. and yes, you'd be gone 1 year.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I think it’d be more fun to drive the Idaho potato around. Saw those guys once and they were really great to talk to.

Thanks for the laughs y’all!

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

That is a bit out there for me, but thanks for the laughs this morning...Ca should be full of unemployed grads that could use the job to pay off their student loans

Can you imagine how the conversation between the tow truck driver and his dispatcher went?

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
