My gps has always had me go i285w around Atlanta, wouldn't i285e be faster to i20e? I rarely if ever go i20e from atlanta...I'm going from Chattanooga to w Columbia, sc....

Yes from 75 on the north side to 20 on the east side it would be quicker taking 285 westbound on the north end of the perimeter. In saying that however the mileage would be shorter just not sure about the time traveling because between 75 and 85 on the north side is usually the worst traffic on the perimeter at any hour of the day.

Sorry for late reply, but it doesn't really matter which way you take. There really isn't a "quick" way around. I live here. The traffic is always terrible, and with the superbowl in town, it will only be worse. Your best bet is to just leave early and flip a coin.

Atlanta PLUS Super Bowl weekend???? OMG that will be awful! My best advice for driving around there is try to do it from 2300 until 0500. Driving around there is the Wild West. I refer to it as Combat Driving.good-luck.gifgood-luck.gif
