Regardless who you team with, keep in mind that you will be living in a room about bathroom size, literally within arm's reach almost 24/7. Rainey mentioned your off time: living in the back of a rolling truck. Personally, I didn't mind the constant movement, but some people don't like it.
Now teaming with family is different than teaming with another driver. Usually, whatever income the truck makes is simply split 50/50. You two may disagree on whether you each earned 50% or maybe one should be entitled to more. But your paychecks will always be an even split. I've seen this happen.
On the other hand, if things work out, it means you can earn money while you sleep as your partner takes the wheel on your off time.
I bring these points up just so you can understand the factors you'll be dealing with.
