I never thought about giving the extra safety speech to females but one night I walked with a student to a truck stop and we cut behind the shop and it was dark and she made a comment that she would not have gone that way unless s someone was walking with her.
So just the fact that it made her uneasy really opened my eyes about extra safety p precautions. I know they've heard it a million times but I still said it.
A weapon Sid?
Like what kind of a weapon? Firearms are prohibited by most of the carriers we work for (in this caseCRST) and the shippers & receivers we frequent.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Heavy flashlight, tire thumper, hammer...i do it all the time. i keep a hammer next to my bed at night. Even keeping the large truck key or pen between your fingers to jam in someone's eye. Strap the seatbelts to the door handles at night.
You know, typical Northeast personal protection stuff.
Rainy.......you crack me up. God help the poor SOB that ever tries to mess with you. You will Joizey Girl the livin' crap out of the *******.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am still in shock about all this. As I have stated earlier, I owe so much to TT and CRST both for helpin me get to this point. I know I did the work to get there as G-Town said, but I will never forget how I got my restart in this industry. To know I have inspired honest to God, livin legends on here is so incredible. I am truly livin my life's mission which is helpin others and servin this country in a civilian sense. I may wake up some days and wonder whats goin on however I realize every moment I am alive and livin my mission is truly a blessin. Every day is a legendary great day and every day I get to keep doin this is truly the greatest gift I could ever receive. I love yall so much. Thanks for everything.

That is an accomplishment to be proud of
My fellow drivers: I need to bridge a gap here:
For those who have been followin my journey here and remember this post:
Divine Intervention In Truckin'....and Also Some Updates Regardin My Students.
I need to clear up somethin there:
That student, me and him co drove for about 5 mos and he resigned on Oct 30 2018. We still keep in touch though. I went back to trainin people right after that and its only gotten better since then now. Also I still have residency in Cedar Rapids. The plan me and him had about me usin his address fell through when he resigned.
Hope that bridges the gap.
