If I was younger I think I would want to flatbed and haul machinery. I grew up around mining and I always loved watching loads go into the mine.

I am 45...

We have a guy that's older than Old School, if you can believe that, driving local, at our Fargo yard. He tosses chains better than drivers 3/4 his age!

You flat-bedders have my respect.

Not sure how well you can see, but this is how I secured the load. Sorry for the delay, been a crazy week. 0609960001553307691.jpg0134802001553307881.jpg0458581001553307971.jpg

The small engine, I put 3 straps on it, but don't have a closeup of that one.

So, no straps on the engine itself? Or does the engine go outward in the box so the straps are on the wood, but there is engine beneath them?

The box is built around the engine. It sits in the box, bolted securely to it. It was surprisingly very stable, but it is hard to really see, from the pictures.

No straps on the engine, because they could damage it, causing a GINORMOUS charge back, if it were rejected by the consignee.

Consignee:

The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.
