Let me say a few things. Taking an old prescription, even if it is your script, isn't a good idea. It can lead to all sorts of bad juju. I won't go into the legal ramifications, but it can be hazardous depending on the age of the painkillers .
That being said, it will probably clear out of a urinalysis within three days. Hair follicle is a bit of a different story. I had surgery a week prior to my ua, and had taken a hydrocodone the day before. I informed them of the medical issue and was given paperwork for my doctors to fill out and fax back.
Turns out that my ua was clean anyway. No idea on a hair follicle as they lost mine....
My advice would be to call your doctor stat and ask for a couple 3 or 4 hydrocodone to help get you over the first few days.

I just had infection in my toe and the doctor did a procedure that caused unbearable pain afterwards. I had some old hydrocodone lying around that I had left over from ages ago when I went to a doctor before. I tried motrin at the max level allowed, but the pain was still there. It felt like someone was scraping my toe with a razor blade. I ended up taking the hydrocodone because the doctor's office was closed at the point when the numbness wore off. I'm between jobs and will be going to another company sometime soon. Will this be a problem with the drug test? I have the old prescription, but it is ancient.
