I never know what to believe since my truck always say it's higher then what my Qualcomm says.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

I've found my Qualcomm to actually be very accurate.

Tested many times by filling my tank and then at my next fuel stop filling it again. I compare how much fuel I was able to take on against how much fuel the Qualcomm says I burned. They are always under 1 gallon of each other.

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.
