Smart Trucking , I came across this channel the other day and found it really informative and well done . The host is a longtime vet and shares a lot of useful information. There are SO many negative Bravo Sierra channels/misinformation out there so finding one I feel is good was difficult but I definitely think its worth checking out .
Everything on YouTube isn’t truthful???
I know , can you believe it ! , and I wonder where everyone gets all their poor misconceptions.
And, here I thought this was a clickbait topic lol
Here is the link to my favorite YouTube trucker. Super positive. Vasiliy Agiy

That and Trucker Josh are the only two YouTubers I can watch about trucking. I seen Vasiliy is coming back to trucking soon.
Seabee-J, I disagree with your take on Smart Trucking. I think they're just another in a long line of alarmist, complaining, frustrated truckers who are fed up with every regulation, think the major companies are out to get you, and wants you to believe you need them in order to avoid all of the pitfalls of an industry that wants to take advantage of you.
Although there has to be some good YouTube channels out there, every so often over the years I've tried to look around to find some helpful, inspirational people who really get what it takes to be successful in this industry but after an hour or two I leave with a splitting headache and my stomach turning, sad for all of the people who are going to be driven away from the industry by the misinformation and bad attitudes.
The people that have been members here for a while and know our take on things - if you know some really good YouTube channels that fit our mold then let me know. I'd be happy to post their videos. But we've always been an island in this industry. It still seems unfathomable to be, but no one that really understands how this industry works seems to focus on what it takes to be successful in trucking. It's mostly people blaming, complaining, and criticizing the industry.
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
I agree with Brett. Smart trucking has an issue with every company. Even when asked to name the companies he would suggest, he is hard pressed to come up with any.
I actually blocked this channel from my suggestion stream because it is just so negative.
I quit watching YouTube trucking videos long ago. In my opinion, none are credible, accurate, or unbiased.
Unfortunately a lot of people associate negativity with "keeping it real." If they don't hear a lot of complaining, blaming, criticizing, and fearmongering then they don't think you're being honest, you're just sugarcoating everything or you're a shill.
We actually do warn people all the time about the perils of entering this industry, but we don't blame the problems people have on the industry, the government, or the companies. We put the responsibility for a successful start to a career in trucking squarely on the shoulders of the drivers. We believe anyone can be happy and successful at any major carrier if they have a great attitude and do an awesome job. We've learned that from experience, and we've proven that to be the case.
Look at the moderators and experienced drivers here. They drive for a large variety of carriers and they're all making great money and they're all extremely happy with their company. It's a performance-based job. If you perform at a high level you'll succeed at a high level. It really is as simple as that.
Unfortunately we're the only ones I know of that consistently convey that message.
