So I'm in west Memphis until Monday at 0800 I meet my te here at the oc. Ready to get onto the road
Time with my te is going great he said the only thing I need to work on is predicting curves better so I know when to slow down. Will be out for 2 to 3 more days with him then hopefully get some home time before going solo
Good for you Kyle.
Watch your wagon!
Safe travels and best of luck with continued success.
Thanks gtown once I realized how to tell if I needed to slow down in a curve it started to stick in my head if I cant see around it or I feel like I'm getting pushed to slow it down
Kyle, sounds like you are progressing nicely. I guess we could say you are "getting ahead of the curve!"
That did all go well. Congratulations!
In class I was told to "drive the trailer" (not the truck). Everyone wants to be a truck driver. I just want to be a good trailer driver!

Thanks Bruce. I passed all my road and backing test yesterday and this morning we had tandem sliding class. This afternoon I believe is when we find out who our te is and when and where to meet them
Tandem:
Tandem Axles
A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".
