When I was over the road the first time, I was with a company that had both flatbed and Van , and I didn't really want to throw tarps when it was Sub-Zero or torrential downpour. With the extra time that it takes to roll up your tarps, or to tarp your load and strap down your load, I guess what I'm wondering is if the pay is really worth it? I see a lot of companies that are hiring for Flatbed drivers as well as companies that are hiring for van and reefer. Just wondering what the best option is for continual mileage and a consistent paycheck. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
