Two words for ya:
Clorox wipes.
Although I have to slip seat I will give OD credit all trucks are no smoking and if he left it looking that bad he would be in need of a new job. OD has fired people for not keeping a clean truck, i wonder how messy it had to be for that to happen because they give warnings first.
I agree wipe it down and vacuum it if needed and hope yours is done soon.
Unfortunately some drivers don't give a crap about the appearance or cleanliness of the truck. Both jobs I've had now we slip seat. We had a driver that refused to throw his trash away and instead piled it up on passenger side floor. I remember posting a picture of it here. He ended up having an assigned truck so we wouldnt have to deal with it. Current company I'm too low on the seniority list so I still slip seat. Everybody here is very good about cleaning up after themselves. The most I've seen left behind is maybe an empty bottle of water or cough drop wrapper. It's also nice as a non smoker that they do not allow smoking in any company vehicle. I've been in a couple trucks you can tell someone has smoked in but it thankfully isn't overwhelming. I can keep windows open while pretripping and I come back in and dont even notice the smell.
Being in that truck will make you more appreciative to get back in yours
Clorox wipes, Bounce dryer sheets, bucket of soapy water, rags, and cans of Fabreeze
I have been driving and sleeping since Thursday, running my tail off. I’m so behind it isn’t funny. Luckily my appointments are all pretty fluid, so there’s that.
I found some Clorox wipes and cleaned the steering wheel. I should get home Monday or Tuesday and get my truck back.
Just a couple of pictures. Every place that can collect dirt is like that. No rugs anywhere, just dirty muddy rubber.
Both tractors I have had the pleasure to drive were detailed by the company before I drove them, so that was nice. Otherwise if you have to do it yourself it’s at least a 4 hour job, depending on how much the previous driver picked his nose, etc.
Hey Grumpy, I've had 2 trucks handed to me that were much worse than those pics. Each took 1 full day to clean up. One was a recovery. I was just wondering, when I worked at Central Refrigerated Services in 2013 there was a driver with a red truck and white lettering on the sleeper which said,"GRUMPY OLD MAN". I was just curious if that would happen to have been you?

Not me, I just completed my first 30 days, LOL
But he is still driving this truck. I’m just using it this week. The whole loaner truck thing has been a nightmare.
I’m hoping to find time to post about my first 30 days soon. I posted my first mistake but there have been a few more. Hopefully someone will learn from my mistakes or at least be entertained. Lol

My truck is in the shop, so my company has me driving my first trainers truck while he is out for a bit. His wife had a baby.
I’m not just saying this because of whose truck it is, but this is the most disgustingly dirty truck I have ever seen. I don’t remember it being this bad, though it was never really clean. It looks and smells like the inside of an ashtray. I can’t wait to get back home and get my truck.
