At the end of the 8, you'll have exactly what you had on your clocks when you started the 8. After the 2, you'll have a full day, MINUS whatever you do between the end of the 8, and the start of the 2.
I hope that makes sense
If u take 8 u get back what u had left if you have run your 11 out u won’t have anything. Does that make sense.?
I've still got time on my 11 as well (3:30). I just need some time back sooner in order to be on time, Donna.
That makes perfect sense, Chris, thanks!
Just before the 3:30 is up take a 2 hour off duty. I usually do that while I’m getting unloaded and then u will get your 11 minus what u drove.
This would be really useful of Schneider allowed this, since I was assigned a load today where they knew I couldn't make the appointment time before assigning it to me due to my next available time. So I arrived an hour late and had to wait 5 hours for a dock door, the load is going to Chesapeake Virginia where there is basically no truck parking especially this late, so with 6 hours left on my 14 going to take my full 10 hour break here in order to make my appointment time by 9:45 in the morning. I already have a pre-assignment for tomorrow which I'm probably not going to make the appointment time due to being delayed here or if I do it'll be close.

Actually I didn't realize my next pre-assignment picking up tomorrow morning has a whole extra day to make the delivery, either I misread it the first time or Schneider was already on point updating it.
So y’all aren’t allowed to do 8/2 splits?
So y’all aren’t allowed to do 8/2 splits?
Nope, although legal to do. Schneider doesn't allow it, I spoke to my dispatcher about it not to long ago.
Yeah we were told in class Schneider doesnt allow 8/2 splits

I'm currently about a half hour outside Topeka, KS, with a 7am delivery appointment. Won't have time for a full 10, but if I do the 8 in sleeper (4h left on the 14), deliver, then stop somewhere for 2h sleeper will that give me a full clock to work with tomorrow? I didn't take into account my shift from MST to CST or I'd have time for a 10
