What does everyone else do for their home-time for parking?

Park in my driveway.

My truck won't fit. My mom lives in a cul-de-sac. Ain't no way I am going to back up to get out of that.

My problem with my driveway is it doesn't look long enough. It's only a two car wide driveway and maybe 80 feet long to garage. With the snow banks at the end of driveway I don't think a truck and trailer would fit. I have called the flying J and they say I can park there just not for 3 days or longer. Which is fine, just worries me about winter. I'll be calling more places around my town. I know there's three trucking companies in my town alone.

There is this turn around just outside of town where another truck driver and I park whenever we have home time.

Maybe buy a kingpin lock and get approval from the truck stop to drop the trailer while on home time and park just the tractor at your house, that way you can keep an eye on it and start it a couple times throughout the day to prevent dead batteries and gelling? just food for thought. anyway I park in my yard, (2 acres of grass and gravel) unless its been raining then I just park on the road half in grass half on road. Gotta love living in the boonies.

I am fortunate to have a brother-in-law that I can drop my trailer at his work, then I park my truck in my back driveway (I live on a cud-de-sac & had 2nd driveway put in off the cul-de-sac a few years ago).

Hi I'm Cherry and new to this forum. My bf and I live in North NJ and my bf cannot park his rig on the landlords property. How do drivers deal with this? Any suggestions on places that would allow him to park for up to 72 hours? I appreciate anyone taking the time to respond to my inquiry. HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!!!!

First Choice, naturally, is a spot owned by the company BF works for. Ask about a "drop lot", unguarded but it may have a padlock on a gate.

Next, look around for truck stops nearby. An app called "Trucker Path" is good for that. Most often free parking, but for 72 hours, check with management.

Third is check for a nearby company that has trucks. (Not just ships out, but owns a few semis.) Plead your case with the owner.

Fourth, private storage will be pleased to rent you space for $$$.

(These get less serious, now) Fifth, look for a nearby vacant lot. Hope your truck will still be there after 72 hours.

Lastly, give your landlord the 30 day notice and both you and BF live on the truck. Rent free!!

Do you park next to that Optimus Prime looking truck? That is a Saaweeet looking rig!
