I am sure we have some! TheKraut is one of my favorite drivers here at GO Express, and if you don't mind your "babe" being a man with a beard, I got the perfect bilingual driver for you!

That scenario, a guest from another Nation operating a CMV on an international driver's license, is a Troopers wet dream! Or maybe a nightmare! Speaking from experience, the international driver's license is only valid when accompanied by The Operators governmentally issued license. Figuring out what the provisions of that license are is nigh unto impossible, especially when the documents are not in a language with which the enforcer is proficient.

Fortunately, Mrs Curmudgeon does not subscribe nor read this page so I can confidently say, "go ahead, I'll be watching for the episodes!"

CMV:

Commercial Motor Vehicle

A CMV is a vehicle that is used as part of a business, is involved in interstate commerce, and may fit any of these descriptions:

  • Weighs 10,001 pounds or more
  • Has a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 10,001 pounds or more
  • Is designed or used to transport 16 or more passengers (including the driver) not for compensation
  • Is designed or used to transport 9 or more passengers (including the driver) for compensation
  • Is transporting hazardous materials in a quantity requiring placards
