Used to go drinking in Kenosha back when I was going to school at Great Lakes Naval Station. Drinking age was 21 in IL, still 18 in WI.

Rode the train quite frequently - went to the closest bar by the train station...

Rick

Yeah... that border-hopping thing was a real ***** back in the day. Of course that was before drunk driving became politically incorrect!

I'm glad you will still be hanging with the group. It is more like an otr family away from home actually. And obviously nobody wants to lose a family member.

RD, you seem to have developed the same appreciation for the TT community that I have, and many have. Right from the get go, I felt the need to communicate with other drivers. It's hard because if you are a solo driver, how many opportunities do you get, even among drivers from your own company?

A new driver will have multiple questions every day, and by posting on TT every driver has an invaluable resource to get those questions answered by seasoned drivers who really know their stuff.

Always keep learning, never stop learning!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
