Bruce, SAPA has recently changed their name to "Hydro." The company is headquartered in Norway. They pronounce the name "Heedrow." It is the world's largest producer of aluminum extrusions. It's a worldwide distributor of extruded aluminum and has about 25 plants spread across the U.S.A. in addition to other plants in other countries.
My loads are almost always metal extrusions of various shapes and sizes.
That's common everyday stuff for me.
I was formerly in the electrical sign business before getting into truck driving. I taught a lot of people to weld aluminum. We used it in our projects all the time.

Old School, that's really cool to me. I saw SAPA mentioned here on a regular basis, but I thought it was a trucking company.
I have a Millermatic 350P wire feed with a python lead, using Argon gas. Very user friendly.

It was really great to meet you Spaceman Spiff!
Spaceman took a few minutes to visit with me. He seemed like a hard working flatbedder that wanted to get back to the task at hand - I like that type of responsibility. I'm hoping we can meet up again sometime when we both have more time to visit.

Old School, you mentioned the "SAPA plant". I googled it and I think SAPA makes aluminum products, is that correct? One of the 'A's' in SAPA must stand for aluminum? I love aluminum, one of my hobbies is welding aluminum.
