Reset Or Not To Reset

I'm currently under a load, but it has almost 3 full days to deliver it. I'm about 7 hours away currently, if I take a reset now I'll still have 24 hours to deliver it plus a fresh clock. Either if I do it now or when I delivery it, I have to take a reset since I'm low on hours and recaps aren't coming back in time.

I figured if I did it now, I would only waste 24 extra hours rather then a full 34 when I park after delivering.

Looking for opinions.

Jamie, will the receiver take an early delivery?

Might I add, the appointment for the drop doesn't even start until 17:00 tomorrow.

Not entirely sure, I have enough hours to deliver it no problem. but afterwards I have to take a reset before getting another load. So figured I could save some time by doing it now then later.

I'd reset now. If you're going to be idle anyway may as well make the best of it by scoring fresh clock.

Jamie, see when you can deliver. If you can before your clock runs out, get it out of the way and then re-set your clock. If no early delivery is possible, then the obvious choice is to reset asap.

I’d deliver as soon as they’ll take you, then do the reset somewhere that you won’t have to move from, but with amenities. Big truck stop but not a rest area.

I recently had a somewhat similar dilemma. I decided to reset and found out afterwards it was the wrong call. Although in my case I had some recaps coming to me I could take advantage of. Maybe you can msg dispatch and see what they advise.

Decided not to take a reset, I'm going to try and deliver early. Only about 5 and a half hours away. My appointment doesn't start until 17:00 but I can make it there around 10 or 11, if I can't delivery early I'll just park near by.
