Good idea Phillip. I agree with most, social media is toxic. I haven’t had fb for 6 years.

Hey Phillip, i think if you don’t feel your trainer is teaching you enough you should talk with your training coordinator, my first job was with Us Xpress and they give you that choice, I know they pay good to be a trainer, but some just train for the money, I was very lucky with my trainer, I think those four weeks is your best opportunity to get all the information and knowledge from your trainer so make sure to get the right one, good luck with everything !

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Actually, I'm 56 and use FB daily to update friends on my new way of life. They really like hearing about it. Thanks for the advice just the same.

I am assuming you are "young", as in under 30. My advice to you is GET OFF of "social media". It is a sewer for the most part. I am shocked at some of the things that people post on these sites. That s#!t will follow you for the rest of your life. Just some advice from an "old man". You will thank me, and others in my generation, when you see the ripple effect on people down the road!

This happened to me my first week during training. My trainer called in for me to see what the deal was and they apologized profusely. They told me if I needed the money immediately they would issue a Comcheck.

Nothing wrong with posting about your progress and Adventures just never said anything negative about your company.

My company uses Facebook to get out quick updates to their drivers, sometimes followed by a peoplenet msg. Social media can be an excellent tool, when used properly. You can adjust your privacy settings to just see what you want /need, to eliminate the negative background noise.
