That’s step #347. You’re on step #4.

Packrat, I pulled out my new driver reference book. It is step #374. You transposed the last two numbers.

Not so fast, John Deere! I don’t drive for Swift, so I use a different book.

This is why I like this site, everyone seems to not take everything so serious and have a good time. The only reason I asked about MPG is I thought I read something about that on here as a trip planning test swift gave you at school. If not I won't worry about it.

Yes, even on the more serious subjects, something silly might pop up. As for the MPG/Trip Planning test, there is such a test, or was when I was an instructor there (till last year). But I believe there's a secret rule: no one "fails" that test only to have to re-do the class. Just focus on Pre-Trip and the backing exercises so you'll pass the CDL tests.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
