Packrat, you need to improve your communication skills. Or start driving again! LOL
Talking with, as in on the phone or in person, or on the Qualcomm?
I haven’t spoken with mine since my second week, and even then only twice. I chat with him on the Qualcomm all the time, we have a pretty good relationship.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
I talk with my dispatchers every day. We are not assigned to specific dispatchers. Rather our dispatchers, load planners, and csr's are assigned specific regions, and we communicate with whichever team, depending on our location. I Love it this way. Each team are "experts" in their region and we get to know the entire office. They always call us, to go over each new dispatch to see if we have any questions, or issues.
