Glad you didn't get hurt, my friend. To put this in perspective, my father-in-law was killed several years ago by a fall from a flatbed. He wasn't even on the load, just standing on the deck. The danger is real, and quick.
I think most of us flatbedders have had our moments where we realize the potential for danger out here. I'm really glad you didn't get hurt seriously Danielsahn. There's always room for extra caution in this job, and that goes for all of us. We all want to make good money and enjoy our career, but a serious injury, or sometimes even a minor one, can really set us back.
We've all witnessed Marc's trials recently from a simple slip and fall while climbing in/out of the tractor. Be on your guard everybody - being safe and careful is equally important as being productive.

While there are likely to be many similar resposnses, someone may have an alternate that is legal, practical, and efficient.
Well Done, and glad you survived that fall. We lost a driver to a massive elbow and arm fracture falling off the side of a deck. Fortunately he was wearing the hardhat, and that kept him from a rear head crush.
